At CNN, I have a dual role: I work as a developer/designer for news projects and serve as the editorial lead for CNN's AMP stories. As a developer/designer, I work with reporters and editors to build charts, maps, graphics, and illustrations. I also provide art direction and designs for visual stories. As the editorial lead for CNN's AMP stories, I laid the foundation for how the organization would approach this storytelling platform. I designed initial templates and provided workflow wireframes for a content management system. I am part of the storytelling process from conception to completion — writing, design, and coding these mobile-first experiences.
